Everything comes full circle! A year ago, I never would have imagined the amount of support and love this little business would receive. I was hopeful about the future by had not yet begun to dream BIG! My only connections in the wedding industry were my very own vendors….. boy have the tables turned since then! This past weekend I assisted photographing a beautiful wedding with Lauren Gay. I first met this sweet lady when she walked into the bridal suite on my wedding day. She was assisting Kristen Gardner on my big day. I can’t believe how quickly we traded places! Who would have guessed that I would be in her shoes a year later? Definitely not me! Second shooting for my own second shooter!
As time passes, I am constantly surprised what doors open and opportunities present themselves. This past weekend was a sign that growth is possible! I value every relationship I have within the industry. I am also lucky to call these colleagues friends. Together, we support and inspire each other. I feel so blessed to have them believe in me! It was truly an honor to work with Lauren! She is such a positive, encouraging and kind person. In November, the tables will turn once again as she walks down the aisle and gets married.
The full circle of my journey is almost complete! New headshots will be shared on Friday…. The BIG launch is right around the corner!
My branding is under way and the finish line is in sight! My new website/blog is almost complete! I have SO many mixed emotions as the launch date approaches! It is exciting, scary, overwhelming, and refreshing all at the same time. It has been such a journey to find my style and express it. I really hope you love it as much as I do. I can’t wait to share it with you. I am terrible at keeping secrets! I am really surprised I haven’t shown the drafts to random strangers in the grocery store…. it is really killing me!
This new look also applies to me! I will be on the other side of the camera this weekend for updated head-shots. To be honest, I am kind of nervous. It is SO easy to hide behind the lens and get comfortable there. Thankfully I have a very good friend taking my picture! She knows how to make me smile and feel like a million bucks…. but what do I wear? I need a look that fits my branding and inspiration. I immediately opened up the latest J. Crew catalog and fell in love with everything!
I need YOUR help to pick a classic outfit!!!!
I am handing over control to my fans! I am not a fashion-forward girl and I need your advice! Don’t let me get ambushed on TLC’s What Not To Wear! Help me create a look that is professional and approachable. I love simple lines with a pop of sparkle. What do you think would look best on the cover of my new website/blog?
Option 1 Option 2
Tomorrow is the day! 26 years! I can already vote, drink, and rent a car… now what? The quarter life crisis is over! I have reached the end of major milestones where your birthday has significant benefits! So I naturally googled the number 26 (that’s typically my answer for everything) and Wikipedia gave me this:
- 26 is the number of bones in the normal human foot and ankle
- It is the total number of cases on Deal or No Deal (I mean, did anyone even watch this show?)
- The Greek Strongs number G26 is “Agape” which means “Love“
- The age at which males can no longer be drafted in the United States is 26…. oh wait, I am female!
- No team in the NBA or NFL has retired the number
- It is the atomic number for iron
- Nerd alert……. In Microsoft Windows list of Alt Codes, the combination Alt+26 yields the “right arrow” symbol →
- In a normal deck of cards, there are 26 red cards and 26 black cards
- A rhombicuboctahedron has twenty-six sides… duh! That one is SUPER obvious?
Last year is going to be tough to beat! I married my best friend and bought our first home! This year will be filled with more family and friends! I know 26 has BIG things in store for me! Woohoo! Bring on the celebration!
